The Area

We live in the heart of rural Northumberland, 8 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed and 10 minutes from the island of Lindisfarne (Holy Island) For those who love unspoilt countryside then this is the place for you.

It is super walking country, whether by the rivers, on the hills or by the sea along the golden beaches. The area is renowned for it's wildlife and migrant bird population and is just as rich in history offering a wide variety of interesting places to explore. When the exertions of the day are over you can enjoy the hospitality and delights of excellent home cooking at the local inns.

Why not come and have a holiday to remember, in a beautiful part of the country? This is not a complex - we only have one cabin. Constructed from high quality solid logs under a shingle roof. A pine interior from floor to ceiling ensures a wonderful atmosphere. It has all been kept to a very high standard. You will not be disappointed. It sits in it's own woodland setting approached via a gravel drive.

The furnishings are very well maintained for your complete comfort. The cabin is all electric. The heating is at a flick of a switch for those cold winter evenings.

The Cabin

The Lounge :

This has two very comfortable two seater settees, a coffee table and reading lamps.

For your enjoyment we have TV with Digi box and DVD player. A music centre with radio, CD and cassette player. We provide a selection of tapes \ CD's and DVD's , card games, dominoes, magazines, local information and maps of the area.

Dining Area :

The dining area is located off the lounge it has a large dining table and four chairs, table cloths and place mats.

Kitchen :

Complete with modern pine units including a microwave, electric cooker, grill and extractor hood. Toaster, electric kettle and small freezer.
We provide a full range of pots, pans and crockery.

Bedrooms :

The cabin sleeps four. One room has a double bed, the other with twin single beds. Bed linen is provided. Bring your own towels unless you prefer to hire.

Shower Room :

A modern shower room complete with shower, toilet and washbasin and a constant supply of hot water.

Laundry :

Washing machine, ironing board and iron supplied.

Outside :

The cabin is in an area of mature deciduous trees and the extensive grounds are landscaped and include a spring fed pond.
There is a blend of formal and natural planting. The surroundings are changing each year as the planting matures.
Lit by helpful exterior lighting a picnic bench is provided for eating outdoors.
A shed for bicycles and drying area is situated along side the cabin.
